Day 1: Kampala to Lake Mburo N. P
Departure time 7:00AM drive to the west, a stopover at the Equator (Kayabwe) for historical photos, pass via Masaka town and then through lake Mburo National Park expect to come across various birds species along the way, lunch in Mbarara town.
Mburo N.P was first gazetted as a controlled hunting area in 1933 and then upgraded to the park status in 1986. It’s the 4th to be gazetted in Uganda and the country’s smallest Savannah National Park with an estimated area of 337 sqkm. The park has 5 large lakes and it derives its name from Lake Mburo, the park’s largest lake. It has vast coverage of Wetland habitats comprising 20% of its surface. It has over 350 bird species and a number of mammals with the highest number of Impala and Elands.
The parks’ precarious past has seen wildlife virtually eliminated several times: firstly, in various attempts to rid the region of tsetse flies and encroachment from surrounding cattle keeping communities. Its Uganda’s best park for an excursion (one-day tour) from Kampala capital city since it’s conveniently close to the highway that connects Kampala to other parks of western Uganda. With its rich vegetation cover, the park is characterized with ancient Precambrian metamorphic rocks which date back more than 500 million years. The most memorable activities in this park include but not limited to: Natural walk where you become so close to the wild animals, Boat trip on L. Day2: Queen Elizabeth N. P via Ishasha Sector
In the morning go for a nature walk and there after proceed with the journey through the volcanic formation of the western rift valley towards Queen Elizabeth and via Rukugiri to Ishasha Sector for an overnight stay. After check in at the lodge, we drive for an evening game drive to look for the tree climbing lions
This is Uganda’s most visited park gazetted in1952 as Kazinga National Park and renamed 2 years later in commemoration of Queen Elizabeth II of England’s visit. Per now it’s the country's second largest park with approximately1998 Sq Km area. It’s astride the equator line with well-structured monuments at a point where it crosses latitude 00 on your way from Kasese town. The park’s has its highest point 1,350m ASL, at Katwe explosion craters and the lowest 910m ASL, at Lake Edward. The park’s rich ecosystems include sprawling savanna, shady, humid forests, sparkling lakes, and fertile wetlands which makes it an excellent habitat for 95 mammal species of which 20 are carnivores, over 600 bird species and many butterflies. It’s also famous for the tree climbing lions, high population of Elephants, Shoe bill stork in the southern sector where it boarders with DR.Cong.
The park has a natural attachment to Rwenzori mountains by housing it’s very important catchment areas (Lake Edward & George) being the major recipient for Rwenzori glacial water. Queen Elizabeth N.P also has a fascinating cultural history which can be enjoyed even from the surrounding communities. Day 3: Queen Elizabeth N. P Kazinga Channel Boat Ride
In the morning, go for a game drive to explore more of this southern part of this Park then drive to Mweya for an afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga channel. Kazinga channel is a natural channel connecting Lake George to Lake Edward and attracts a possibly the highest hippos concentration in Africa, elephants buffaloes, birds among others. Overnight and dinner at the lodge.
Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking & Community visit.
Day 5: Return to Kampala
Early morning game drive In the morning there after proceed to Fort portal city for lunch After lunch, have a relaxed return trip to Kampala via Mubende and Mityana towns. We shall reach Kampala in the evening and go straight to the national theatre in case of any performance available.

It takes you through the great Kabarole region and enables you explore the region’s most important tourism activity specifically chimpanzee tracking, hiking and visiting the famous Amabeere Ga Nyina Mwiru historical site. It quiet gives you a great experience with Toro Kingdom and its cultures. Currently Toro kingdom has the youngest king in the whole world. A nature walk to the male and female hot springs is worthy for any nature wonders lover.
SUGGESTED ACTIVITIES SCHEDULE
Day 1: Kampala to Amabeere Ga Nyina Mwiru
Drive to Fort portal in the morning. We shall have a sto over at Tanda pits Historical Site for a great understanding of Buganda’s god of Death (Walumbe). Thereafter, proceed to Fort portal tourist City for lunch and later visit the Amabeere ga Nyinamwiru. This is one of the most important Bachwezi remaining historical sites in Uganda. Amabere ga Nyina Mwiru, meaning “the Breasts of Nyina Mwiru,” is a fascinating cultural and natural attraction. Located just a few kilometers from Fort Portal City it’s famous for its stunning limestone caves, beautiful waterfalls, and rich cultural legends that connect it to the ancient Tooro Kingdom.
According to local legend, the stalactites in the caves are believed to be the breasts of Nyina Mwiru, a princess whose father, King Bukuku, ordered them cut off as punishment for disobedience. The white dripping formations resemble milk, symbolizing her continuing motherhood and sorrow. For geographers, it’s a very important site because here you practically see how stalagamites and stalactites meet to form pillars. The site offers breathtaking scenery with dripping caves, lush green surroundings, and a nearby hike to the Nyakasura hills, the hike through Kalyango hills and Lake Kigere reward visitors with panoramic views of crater lakes. The site is a perfect blend of culture, history, and nature, making it one of the must-visit destinations for tourists exploring western Uganda and Fort Portal’s tourism circuit. Dinner and over right stay in Fort portal.
Day 2: Semiliki Valley National Park
Very early in the morning drive to Semiliki National Park and on arrival, go for a nature walk after a briefing by the park officials and visit the male and female hot springs. You will also come across a number of wildlife species like birds, insects so on. Thereafter, return for lunch at the campsite; briefly visit the Ntandi village and other surrounding communities before driving back to Fort Portal for Lunch. Thereafter, drive to king Oyo’s palace, (The youngest king in world) there after visit Karambi tombs, (the burial place for Tooro kings) Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: (Chimpanzee Tracking)
Early morning Leave for Kibale National Park for chimpanzee tracking and a lot of wildlife species are to be seen. Then we shall visit the communities around for a taste of homestead tourism (Dinner and overnight stay in Kibale Bigodi).
Day 4: Omukama’s Palace and Return to Kampala
After breakfast, go for a swamp walk at Bigodi bird’s sanctuary. Then we shall have a relaxed return journey to Kampala using Kamwenge route and arrive in Kampala in the evening.

Day 1: Kampala to L. Mburo N P
After an early morning breakfast, drive to the west using the Masaka road, a stopover at the Equator (Kayabwe) after a brief interaction and photography shooting, continue to Masaka town (it will be a simple drive to allow you have a brief experience about this old town). Then continue to Lake Mburo National Park and enter the park through Nshara gate and have a game drive through the park towards the park headquarters (Lunch at the Park Restaurant). After lunch in the afternoon, we go for a boat cruise on Lake Mburo within the park expect to meet animals like hippos, elephants, buffaloes, a number of water birds so forth . And after a short break or dinner, we shall proceed with a night game drive
Day 1: L. Mburo N P to Kampala
After Morning breakfast, proceed for a nature walk. Expect to meet, Kobs, Elands, Impalas, Topis, Zebras so on. Thereafter, return to the restaurant for a brief refreshment before embarking on the on our return trip to Kampala using Sanga gate: Lunch in Masaka or enroute. After lunch proceed to Kampala and a stopover at Mpambire for art crafts like, drums, wood works among others. Expect to be in Kampala late evening.

The itinerary is well designed to enable you appreciate Murchison fall national park and it surroundings at the fullest. MFNP is the biggest national park in Uganda and therefore, it needs ample time to explore it. With this itinerary, you can be able to see 8 animal species out of Uganda’s Big 9 list. Chimpanzee tracking activity at Kanio Padidi is quite interesting in this truly natural forest.
MURCHISON FALLS N.P lies at the northern end of the Albertine Rift Valley, stretching up to Bunyoro region. Murchison Falls, is Uganda’s largest National Park gazetted as the country’s first national parks in 1952. The park has a unique environment for film makers and it’s famous for having formed part of the 1951 film “The African Queen” starring Humphrey Bogart (on Lake Albert and the Nile). The park is bisected by the world’s longest river (R.Nile) which incredibly squeezes through a narrow 8m wide gorge and then eventually plunges 45m over the remnant rift valley wall, with a thunderous roar into the “Devil’s Cauldron”, to form the world’s strongest waters falls to create an almost permanent rainbow trademark for tourists and later an 80km stretch of rapids.
Its vegetation in the north is characterized with savanna, Borassus palms, acacia trees and riverine wood while in south, its woodland and forest patches. The park has a lot of wildlife with a high chances of coming across all the African big 5(five). Murchison falls has about 144 mammals, 556 bird species, 51 reptiles, and 51 Amphibians. The most memorable activities in this park include but not limited to: Boat trip along the R.Nile to Murchison Falls, Hiking to the top of the falls, birding, research, Day and Night game drives, Shoe bill tracking, chimpanzee tracking at Kanio Pabidi, Forest/nature walk, butterfly tourism and Research based tourism on botany,zoology archeology. Rhino tracking at Zziwa Rhino sanctuary, comes as the best accompaniment on your way to Murchison Falls National Park.
SUGGESTED ACTIVITIES SCHEDULE
Day 1. Kampala to Murchison FALL N. P
Drive to the north through Bombo, Luwero, Nakasongola and a brief branch off to Zziwa Rhino sanctuary (a home to the once extinct white Rhinoceros in Uganda. Thereafter, proceed through northern part en route we shall have a spectacular view of Karuma falls. We expect to enter the park in the evening through Tangi gate via Pakwachi while enjoying our evening game drive we shall drive to the lodge for an overnight.
Day 2. Murchison Falls N. P full day of Activities
After early morning breakfast, we shall go for a game drive in this rich northern part of the park and expect to come across mammals like giraffes, lions, leopards, hyenas, antelopes etc and birds like the secretary birds, Abyssinian ground horn bills, king fishers among others. After lunch, we go for a lunch cruise along the Victoria Nile towards the Murchison falls, for a memorable view of the Nile River from a point where it forces its self through a narrow George (about 7m) and 43mtres high.
En-route you will see a lot of wildlife like crocodiles, water birds, hippos, elephants a good number of birds like pied king fishers, while still on cruise, the boat stops about 10 meters from the Devil cauldron” which is good for taking pictures. Thereafter, you will return to the lodge for Dinner & Overnight Stay
Day 3. Chimpanzee tracking and Return to Kampala
After early morning breakfast, cross the Nile and drive to the top of the falls thereafter drive through the southern part of the park, stop over at Kanio Pabidi for afternoon chimpanzee tracking. Then after an interaction with these jungle ‘humans’, we shall have a relaxed return journey to Kampala and if time permits, we shall be able to do crafts shopping in Kampala in the evening.
