Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Park Brief

Bwindi Impenetrable National park is a world heritage that lies in southwestern Uganda on the edge of the rift valley. With its mist-covered hillsides, it has one of Uganda's oldest and most biologically diverse rain forests, dating back over 25,000 years and contains almost 400 plant species. It’s the world’s number one home of about 459 famous mountain gorillas.

It’s also gifted with over 350 bird species of birds including 23 Albertine rift endemics; 120 mammals, including several primate species such as baboons and chimpanzees, as well as elephants and antelopes. For entomologists especially butter fry lovers Bwindi cannot disappoint you with over 200 butterfly species. The park is also a home for a number of reptiles.

Memorable Activities: The most memorable activities in this park include but not limited to: Gorilla tracking, Gorilla habituation experience, forest nature walk, birding, butterfly tourism, the Batwa community visit and Research based tourism on botany, zoology archeology

Accessibility: To do all these activities, we help you to reach the park using either road or air.

Accommodation: There a number of lodges from budget to high-End within a radius of 50 km.

Easiest way to explore this park (3/2 days). It’s even possible for visitors sleeping in Entebbe/Kampala (Uganda) and Kigali (Rwanda) to drive to the nearby accommodation on the first day and do any activity the following day.
