HISTORY
Although Uganda’s pre-colonial history is not well documented, a few tales stretching back to the 1600s can be remembered, that the people who lived around L. Victoria and River Nile and later eked a living off the land and kept their cattle where of Bantu origin. In Northern, were mainly Luo and Nilotic legendry tall armed with spear/bow and arrow and were known hunters and fishermen. It should be known that in 1830s the Arabs from their enclaves along the Indian Ocean Coast found several kingdoms well developed with developed political institutions, these were later joined by British explorers in 1860s with the interest of searching for the source of river Nile and who later colonized the country.
In 1962, Uganda attained her independence and king Mutesa II, the then Baganda Kabaka (King) and the father of the current Buganda king, Ronald Muwenda Mutebbi II became the first president while Dr. Milton Obote was the first Prime Minister. The first decades after independence, were characterized by political turmoil characterized by economic mismanagement, bad governance and sectarian role, not until 1986 when the national resistance movement took control after a guerrilla war led by the current president Yoweri K. Museveni, a testimony to economic recovery and social transformation has been witnessed.

WHERE TO DO IT IN UGANDA???
While in Uganda visit its well stocked natural national park each with unique activity and wildlife. We all know it from nature science that, wildlife is not the same but may resemble. So at least make a visit to some of these national parks if not all, when time permits to make your holiday a memorable experience. Uganda has almost a half of the population of the world’s remaining Gorillas. We do organize gorilla safari to both Uganda and Rwanda. With us, gorilla tracking is regrettable. Uganda has over 5000 chimpanzees. Chimpanzee tracking can be done in Kibale N.P, Queen Elizabeth N.P, Kaniyo pabidi in Budongo forest and Kalinzu Forest. For birders, Uganda With over 1000 bird species, is one of the world known birding areas. It shares a list of the endangered red bird species like the shoebill stock, to more common bird species.
